PUEBLO WEST QUILTERS - NEWSLETTER FOR SEPTEMBER 10, 2010 MEETING
Website: pueblo-west-quilters.blogspot.com / email:
pwquiltersguild@gmail.com
The summer has flown by, the school buses are running. Please note
that our monthly meeting is on the second Monday in September, on the
10th, due to the Labor Day Holiday. The usual place, doors open at
6:30pm, meeting begins and 7:00pm. Did you get inspired by Tina Mort’s
trunk show at the August meeting? If so, be sure to enter your result
in the STEP UP to a Higher Level of Excellence, and show it at the
Nov. meeting. If you are doing the Monogram-Paint Chip Challenge, be
sure to have it ready for the Nov. also.
The PWQ Executive Board decided not to participate in the Pueblo West
High School 2012 Craft Fair. If you would like to have a booth for
your own creations, the fair date is Nov. 10 and you need to get in
touch with Keri Phillips for registration forms and info. She can be
reached at
kphillips@district70.org
Sandy McDonald quilted the thank you quilt for Gabby and Ben, Jean
McDonald finished the quilt’s binding and we will present it to Gabby
and Ben at the September 10, 2012 meeting.
We will be accepting volunteers, 2 or 3, for the Nominating Committee
at the 9-10 meeting, to search for a board for PWQ in 2013. Please
consider becoming a board member, maybe with your best friend in the
club, and keep our delightful local quilters club going.
If you had quilts at the State Fair, please bring them to show at Sew N Share.
Susie and Becky from Stitcher’s Garden will be presenting the program
at the Sept meeting. They will be showing quilting tools that will
make your creative process easier with samples and other ideas to
stimulate your imagination. They will also bring lots of tools,
patterns and fabrics for your shopping needs, so bring money, checks
or credit cards.
