PUEBLO WEST QUILTERS NEWSLETTER FOR MAY 7, 2012 MEETING

Website: pueblo-west-quilters.blogspot.com / email:
pwquiltersguild@gmail.com

Not much in the way of April Showers to bring the May flowers, but
hope everyone's quilting garden is growing well. If you attended the
Pueblo Quilt and Stitch Expo at the Convention Center and also took in
the Southern Colorado Regional Quilt Show at El Pueblo History Museum,
then you probably got lots of inspiration.

This month's PWQ meeting program will be a trunk show by Joey
Snow. She will be showing off her various talents and will probably
have a few items for sale. She'll show you some of her latest designs
and will take questions after her talk. Joey Snow was the co-host of
the Mystery Quilt Retreat in Woodland Park with Mari Pretzer the
weekend of April 20-22.

Some reminders: Colorado Quilting Council meeting on June 23,
2012 is in Pueblo. Please bring a fat quarter to donate for the
attendees of the CQC meeting. Also there are still spaces available
(at this writing) for the workshop with Maggie Ball on June 24. Go to
the CQC website to sign up if you are interested. The July CQC
meeting is in Canon City and is another opportunity to participate in
this state quilting council in our area.

We still have some fabric for sale at $4.00/yd. Support your
club, get fabric! Remember to bring your completed squares from the
strips you cut at the April PWQ meeting for Ben and Gabby's quilt.
Return all left over fabric pieces with your squares at the meeting as
they will be used in the borders and binding. And don't forget to
fill out a personal challenge pledge form for the STEP-UP to a Higher
Level of Excellence challenge.

Things to bring to the meeting:

______ name tag

Alzheimer's Auction - Check out the photos

Several of our members made companion pieces for Alzheimers patients art work.
Some of those were fortunate enough to attend the banquet, they took photos and have
sent them to be shared. Choose the PUEBLO WEST QUILTERS GUILD ALBUMS
link on the right side. This will give you the Shutterfly page, click on the top bar where
it says Alzheimer's Auction. Enjoy! ! !
