Hello PWQ
Plan to come to the May meeting to see the wonderful quilts and wall hangings that local quilter, Dixie Moorcroft will show. Dixie uses many different techniques to achieve her designs, and her meticulous piecing, applique and embroidery results in award winning works of art.
Club Meeting: Monday May 5th 7 PM
Liberty Point Recreation Center
971 Tolstoi Dr.
HOSTESSES:
SNACK - LISA MOLLENHAUER DRINK - KATHY YERGERT
A Note Regarding Dues...
To clarify some questions about dues, the by-laws are very clear to state that dues are prorated to new members who were NOT members in the previous year at $2 a month for the remaining months of the year. For example: New members in May will pay for 8 months or $16. Persons who were members in the previous year will pay the full annual dues amount of $24 regardless of when they join the following year.
Fons and Porter Subscriptions: May is the last month to renew thru the club - checks can be payable to Pueblo West Quilters.
The club is needing someone to volunteer to do this years scrap book. They are so wonderful to have as a record of what we have done. Please contact me if you can do it.
Don't forget your Block of the Month.
See you in May and bring a friend!

April Program
Our guest speaker for April was professional long arm quilter Janet Mohler from Colorado Springs, CO.
She gave a very informative & humorous talk on "Do & Don't" of quilting but also stressed the fact there is no "quilting police" and just because you read something in print does not mean that is the law of quilting. She showed some beautiful quilts that she had quilted and by using them showed how to tell if a quilt is square.
LUV QUILTS
As you can see by the picture we had another GREAT donation of LUV Quilts for April.
