PWQ LUV QUILT GUILDELINES

Pueblo West Quilters will provide batting for members who wish to make LUV Quilts for donation to the community. The following are guidelines to help facilitate this.

Batting is provided only to PWQ members in good standing.

A finished quilt must be returned to the club within 3 months after receiving the batting or the member will be responsible for paying for the batting or can return the batting in the same condition in which it was received.

Standard sizes of batting for crib (46" x 60"), lap (60" x 60") and twin (63"x 84") size quilts will be pre-cut and available at regular PWQ meetings. Other sizes can be requested and it is the responsibility of the member to arrange getting the batting if outside of the regular meeting. Please make your request through the current Vice President.

Completed LUV Quilts are shown at a regular PWQ meeting. The maker is then awarded a small thank you charm and name is then placed into a drawing for a larger thank you gift at the annual Holiday Party. Each LUV quilt donated earns a charm and an entry into the end of year drawing..

The Executive Board encourages the making of Patriot quilts for the Westcliffe based Eagle Summit Ranch rehab facility. Janet Flick is the coordinator for the project. Batting for these quilts is also available through PWQ. Wounded Warrior quilts need to be no smaller than twin size (63" x 84") and can be up to full size (79" x 87"). .

If you have any questions or wish to assist, please contact the current President or Vice President.
