May 2, 2016 General Meeting Program: Folded Flower
With Patsy Morris
Patsy Morris has changed her venue for the May
program. Instead of giving the members her Folded Flower Demonstration program,
she heard the members at the last meeting and will be giving them what they
want…
Patsy changed the program from demonstration to
hands-on, so bring the following supplies:
SUPPLIES
NEEDED:
FIVE.....5"
squares of paper (precut) any color
TWO......5" squares print fabric for flowers (charm packs work
well)
THREE...5" squares green plain or print fabric for leaves
Iron and small ironing surface, Best Press or spray starch, glue stick.
Background
fabrics pale blue, off white, green needs to be solid. 10 to 12 inches square.
In addition to Patsy’s great program, the Pueblo West Quilters will have a
HUGE
FABRIC SALE PRIOR TO THE MEETING
6:23
– 6:53 p.m.
We need a couple volunteers to assist setting up at
6:03 p.m. and help during the sale.
Any items not sold here will be sold at a garage
sale – probably at a higher cost.
The LUV Quilts, Wounded Warrior Quilts &
Pillowcase projects are going strong! Thank you for your contributions!
I have noticed the pillowcase count is low – zero
and Janet indicated the WW Quilts are wrapped in pillowcases when the quilts
are given to the veterans. Soooo, if you have any pillowcases to contribute,
they’d be greatly appreciated.
Also, the annual Nursing Community Baby Shower at
CSU-Pueblo will be held June 3rd, before PWQ’s June meeting.
We’re collecting baby quilts and other shower items at the May meeting.
And that’s what’s happening in May! Bring quilts and
pillowcases. Purchase fabric and patterns to make more! Stay for Patsy’s
folding technique. And don't forget your Show N Share!
