2008 is already going quickly -we are ready for our March Meeting!

One of our local quilters, and past president and treasurer of PWQ, Joey Snow, will demonstrate The Disappearing Nine Patch block and also teach different techniques to make a traditional Nine Patch Block. This will be a fun class and the possibilities are endless using a variety of fabrics. This is a demonstration only, so don't bring your sewing machines, but if you have any nine patch blocks laying around in your stash, bring them and we can show you how to make them disappear!!

PWQ Lapel Pin Contest

Bring in your idea and drawing for the official PWQ lapel pin. Membership will vote and the top five will be reviewed by the Exec Board will be submitted to the manufacturer for their opinion. The person who submitted the winning drawing will receive their pin free! The pins will be sold for $5 each.

Club Batting - Just a reminder that the club is happy to provide the batting for LUV quilts that you make. Its the least we can do since you are providing the fabric and time to make them. Just remember, if you take batting, then bring back a quilt!

Quilties which are 6" x 6" small quilts, mailable fabric Post Cards, Memory Quilt wall hangings and fabric memory scrapbooks. How the Block of the Month works is......
You will get a pattern at the meeting. During the month you make a block or more if you wish. When you come to the next month's meeting you bring your block(s) and lay them on the table with all the others. For each block you bring you get to put your name into a drawing to win all the blocks.

Sew and share is the same as Show and Tell . Members bring quilt items they have made to show to the guild.
