June 7, 2010 Meeting

While we were gathering, June's Block of the Month kept arriving
and made a colorful display for all to watch as it grew........there were
42 blocks in all, with 2 winners: Renee and Rachael

Congrats to them!

Vicki, the President called the meeting to order and
introduced the many guest we had for the evening.
Welcome to them and all who attended.

We again show our support for Charitable Donations with the pillowcases and LUV Quilts that arrived for distribution at this meeting.

Always a favorite is the Sew and Share portion -
What a wonderfully inspiring time this is.
Here are a few photos
but there are many more if you click on the
'PWQ 2010 Photo Albums'
upper left on this Blog Site.

The program this month was by Cyndi McChesney who
showed the 'Square in a Square' method of making many of the blocks
we struggle in getting even close to the same...this method
appears to help to remove some of the frustration
with our lack of exactitude in piecing.

Cyndi had several examples of what you can do
with the SnS (Square in a Square) Ruler,
she also had a Four Patch Ruler available.

Some pictures seen here ......... others you will need
to go to the Photo Link. (upper left)
